Workshop Title – Project_Arthur Tech Jam Special at Apollo50
Time: 1130am-130pm
Venue: The Old Visitors Centre
Cost: Free (ltd capacity)
Details: The Apollo50 event created an open source space project called Project_Arthur where you can download a paper model of ‘Arthur’ The giant satellite dish at Goonhilly. The paper model can then house a Raspberry PI a tiny cheap microcomputer that can track the International Space Station and flash an LED in the antenna of the paper model when the space station flies over your house!! (or any other location you program it too) This workshop will help you understand the project some more and learn about programming on a variety of platforms including Arduino and Raspberry Pi in various languages. We have numerous computers as well as Raspberry Pi’s for anyone to use. You don’t need to bring anything unless you want to. The Tech Jam is run by volunteers (hobbyists and professionals) who have a broad spectrum of experience in lots of areas.
